Bars 1 to 8 (0:00 to 0:12) is a simplified version of the original melody.
Aim to play this 8 bar pattern until it is accurate and smooth.
Bars 17 to 32 (0:13 to 0:26) is the full melody. To build up to the grand finale, the left hand crosses over the right hand to play the high A at the end.
This arrangement is 32 bars long.
In piano level 1 your thumbs share middle C. This gives you a range of 9 consecutive notes on the piano to play the melody (tune).
The aim of Level 1 is to learn to read piano sheet music without looking down at your hands, learn the notes and rhythm symbols and play each piece smoothly.
Finger numbers have been added to each piece to make it clear which finger to use.
The music font size is large to make it easy for you to read.
A note map is added on every page so that your fingers don’t get lost!
